Nick’s positive after his cancer shock

Bristol Rovers defender Nick Anderton has been diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer, but insists he’s staying ‘positive and hopeful’.
The 26-year-old put out a statement on Twitter confirming he has osteosarcoma and he will require an operation in the coming weeks.
The left-back joined the Gas a year ago and played a big part in the club’s dramatic promotion to League One last season.
“Unfortunately I’ve been diagnosed with osteosarcoma,” he said.
