Swindon Town have named Luke Williams as their head coach for the duration of the season.
Williams has been acting as caretaker boss for the Robins since Martin Ling resigned last month due to ill health.
The former first-team coach under Mark Cooper will have his position reviewed when the campaign concludes and has so far won both games he has taken charge of, which included a 4-2 victory over play-off chasing Southend United.
Swindon chairman Lee Power said: “After long conversations with Luke, I’m delighted to say that he has agreed to take the job until the end of the season. We will then sit down and discuss the possibility of him taking the job on a longer-term basis.”
The efforts of Ling and Williams have lifted Swindon into 14th place in League One, after relegation fears had dogged the Robins earlier in the season.
