WYCOMBE boss Gareth Ainsworth admits he is struggling to understand how defender Jason Mc- Carthy is not playing at a higher level.
McCarthy, 23, joined Wycombe from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee last summer, having spent time on loan at Adams Park earlier in his career.
Ainsworth said: “How he’s playing in League One is a mystery to me – what a player he is.”
