Northampton‘s Chris Wilder was named as League Two‘s manager of the month, whilst Leyton Orient‘s Jay Simpson was given the player of the month award.
Despite the turmoil off the pitch, Wilder guided Northampton to four wins out of four to help the Cobblers move up to third place in the table.
Football League pundit George Burley said, “Chris has done a terrific job with Northampton Town, while also having to deal with a lot of difficult problems off the field.
“He has achieved a 100% record this month with two really solid home wins and two outstanding away performances at Notts County and Yeovil.”
Meanwhile, Jay Simpson took his goal scoring tally to 15 for the season as he netted four times during November.
Orient fans may be worried that Simpson’s form could attract interest in January but manager Ian Hendon was keen to praise his star striker.
“It’s great for Jay to win the award. He has been in good form all season long and this is just reward for all the hard work he puts in on the pitch and on the training ground.
“Hopefully he can keep up the good run of form and remain in the goals, though I am sure that will continue as he is a model professional.” said Hendon.
