Chris Wilder and Jay Simpson handed November’s awards

‘s was named as ‘s manager of the month, whilst ‘s Jay Simpson was given the award.

League pundit George Burley said, “Chris has done a terrific job with Northampton Town, while also having to deal with a lot of difficult problems off the field.

“He has achieved a 100% record this month with two really solid home wins and two outstanding away performances at and Yeovil.”

Meanwhile, Jay Simpson took his goal scoring tally to 15 for the season as he netted four times during November.

fans may be worried that Simpson’s form could attract interest in January but manager Ian Hendon was keen to praise his star striker.

“It’s great for Jay to win the award. He has been in good form all season long and this is just reward for all the hard work he puts in on the pitch and on the training ground.

“Hopefully he can keep up the good run of form and remain in the goals, though I am sure that will continue as he is a model professional.” said Hendon.
