Goalkeeper 

Daniel Bachmann (Bury) 

Bury recorded an impressive 1-0 win against ‘s on Saturday. Bachmann made a number of superb saves including denying Phillip Edwards, Mark Duffy and Jerome Binnom-Williams in the first half.

Defenders 

Ben Turner (

After completing a loan move to the Sky Blues last week, Turner made the perfect start to his second spell at Coventry by getting on the score sheet in the emphatic win over promotion rivals on Saturday. The 27 year-old used his strength to get on the end of Ryan Kent’s cross before powerfully heading home his fifth goal for the club.

Adam Thompson (Southend) 

The center-back scored the match winner against Blackpool in just his third start after spending seven months on the sidelines through injury. Thompson grabbed his goal 14 minutes from time when he played the ball to David Worral before charging into the box and heading home an inswinging cross.

Kevin Long (

The loanee grabbed a dramatic winner against Oldham as Barnsley ended a run of eight straight defeats. With just one minute of normal time remaining Long powered the ball home from close range to the delight of the traveling fans behind the goal.

James McNulty (Rochdale) 

McNulty helped the Rochdale defense keep out a stern Doncaster attack as the Angels recorded their seventh clean sheet of the season at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.

Midfielders 

Joe Dodoo (Bury) 

Dodoo made an instant impact after joining Bury on loan from Leicester last week. The 20 year-old’s first half cross deflected off Binnom-Williams before looping over Burton goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin in the only goal of the game.

Jermaine Anderson (Peterborough) 

Anderson struck two goals as Peterborough thrashed bottom of the table Crewe at Gresty Road. For his first goal Anderson struck a long range drive which found its way past Ben Garratt with the help of a deflection. The 19 year old grabbed his second goal of the game with eight minutes remaining as he lashed a shot into the roof of the net.

George (Walsall) 

Evans was twice denied by ‘keeper George Long who kept out two long range efforts from the midfielder as Saturday’s game ended in an entertaining draw at the Bescot Stadium.

Sam Kelly (Port

Port Vale edged passed Chesterfield United in a thrilling encounter at Vale Park. Kelly opened the scoring after just five minutes when he threaded a daisy cutter to the right of the diving Tommy Lee.

Strikers 

Jacob Murphy (Coventry) 

Murphy hit a 10 minute hat-trick as Coventry breezed passed Gillingham at the Ricoh Arena. After rounding Stuart Nelson for his first two goals, the 20-year old completed his hat-trick by finishing Chris Stokes’ cross.

David Henen (

Henen grabbed his first Fleetwood goal in the 5-1 victory over Swindon. The loanee stroked the ball into the bottom left corner of the net after being put through by a neat pass from Antoni Sarcevic.

Manager of the Week 

Steven Pressley (Fleetwood) 

Pressley’s clever tactics guided his side to an emphatic victory over Swindon, which lifted Fleetwood out of the League One relegation zone.
